Hi, my name is Kay and I
live with my two sons, Simon and Kyle, in the small village of Moelfre on the
beautiful island of Anglesey. We have lived here since 2002 and share our house
with our three dogs Max a smooth-coated Border Collie, Pepsi a rough-coated Jack
Russell and our baby Kita a Belgian Shepherd. Our rabbit Becks who is a
Blue Otter Netherland Dwarf.
Then, of course, there are
all my beloved cats.
MOELFRE BAY.
PERSIANS
My love of Persian cats
started when I was young but I didn't get the opportunity to own one of these
beautiful cats until 2001 when I first bought two adult girls Tilly a sealpoint
and Rosie a bluecream tortie. From these two girl's names came my prefix,
Tilsie, which was granted by and registered with the GCCF in 2001.
Rosie was unregistered and
as I wanted to breed properly and only out of correctly registered cats, as all
breeders should, I neutered her. Tilly, although not show quality, became
my foundation queen. Tilly is now retired but her lines continue through
her two daughters, grand-daughter, great grand-daughter and great-great-grandson that I have kept.
ORIENTALS AND SIAMESE
My new venture is in to the world of Orientals
and Siamese. My introduction to these breeds came via one of my best
friends, Fran Armitage of Chapelrose Siamese and Orientals. Through
visiting her and her beautiful babies I came to admire and appreciate them and
of course fall in love with their cheeky, endearing ways.
I was over the moon when Fran presented me with
my first Oriental, Rosie, as a birthday present in 2008. She is absolutely
gorgeous and the most precious birthday present ever. She is aptly called
Chapelrose From Me To You and her name, Rosie, is an amalgamation of our
prefixes, Chapelrose and Tilsie.
She is a Cinnamon Tortie and carries the Siamese
gene so I aim to specialise in the Cinnamon series in both Orientals and
Siamese. Rosie gave me my first Oriental kitten in 2010. A gorgeous
Cinnamon Tortie girl, as loud as her mum. The first ever Tilsie
Oriental.
ME AND ROSIE (the Persian).
BREEDING
I am a small hobby breeder
and do not breed commercially or for financial gain. I prefer my kittens
to go to loving, forever pet homes or show neuter homes rather than for
breeding, unlike some breeders who sell pet quality kittens for breeding just
because they can demand a higher price for them. I primarily breed to
produce a show kitten for myself and to improve my lines. Obviously not
all kittens are show quality or the colour or sex that I want at that particular
time and it is then that I have kittens available.
Enquiries for kittens are
always welcome.
I specialise in
Colourpoint Persians and Colourpoint carriers in all colours. I am working
with some of the very best British, American and European lines. These
lines consist of Champions, Grand Champions, UK Grand Champions and even an
Imperial Grand Champion. There are also many USA Champions and Grand
Champions within my Persian cats pedigrees. Please feel free to view all
my cat's four generation pedigrees by clicking on the link beneath each cat's
details.
I also specialise in
Orientals and Siamese in the Cinnamon series.
All my cats are kept
indoors and my kittens are raised as part of the family. They are used to all
the usual household noises and children. I aim to breed healthy kittens
with good type and balance, strong eye colour and excellent coats in both
Persians, Orientals and Siamese. Above all I want my kittens to have
excellent temperaments.
SHOWING
My first stud cat, Tate,
led me into the world of showing becoming my first Champion. Thanks to him
I am now well and truly hooked. We travel all over the country showing and have
made some fantastic friends along the way. This year, 2009, I was over the
moon when Kirah, Ch. Tilsie Onlythelonely, became my very first home bred
Champion.
Please visit my 'Show
News' and 'Titles Gained' pages to see our success's through the years.
Show reports of my cats successes can be viewed on the 'Judges Critiques' page.

THANK YOU
I would like to take this
opportunity to thank everyone who has helped me. In particular I would
like to thank Julie Lucas of Dannyboy, Yvette and Ian Barber of Sasharmey, Ann
and Mike Harrop of Shakirah, Lynda Wilson of Tytherton Persians, Helen Morton
and Michael Derbyshire of Rosemede Himalayans and Fran Armitage of Chapelrose
Orientals and Siamese for allowing me to be owned by their beautiful cats.
Their never ending help, advice and most of all friendship is greatly
appreciated.
Last but not least, a very
special thanks goes to Simon and Kyle without whose help and patience,
especially on long show days, I would not be able to continue.
You two really are the
best.
THANK-YOU
SIMON AND KYLE.
