GCCF REGISTRATION POLICY FOR TORTOISESHELL PERSIAN CATS

Agreed/effective February 2002

FULL REGISTER

Tortoiseshell, Chocolate Tortoiseshell, Lilac-Cream and Blue-Cream Persians with Championship or Provisional status which have in their pedigrees within three generations only Persians in colours shown in the chart as being acceptable for this register. Both parents to be either Full Register or at least third generation Supplementary Register.

SUPPLEMENTARY REGISTER

Tortoiseshell, Chocolate Tortoiseshell, Lilac-Cream and Blue-Cream Persians with Championship or Provisional status which have in their pedigrees within three generations only Persian Longhairs in colours shown in the chart as being acceptable for this register.

REFERENCE REGISTER

Tortoiseshell, Chocolate Tortoiseshell, Lilac-Cream and Blue-Cream Persians which have in their pedigrees within three generations Persians in any non-accepted colour or pattern, or cats from any other breed section, or unregistered cats.

Registration requirements: Tortoiseshell, Chocolate Tortoiseshell, Lilac-Cream and Blue-Cream Longhaired cats of Persian type fulfilling the general requirements shown in the Register definitions and that are the progeny of parents, grandparents or great-grandparents of the following breeds shall be placed on the register indicated.

Bi- and Tri-colour (excluding green-eyed breeds)

Silver group (excluding green-eyed breeds)

Colourpoint

Any green-eyed breed from the Longhair Breed Section.

Any cat from any other Breed Section.

Any unregistered cat.
